If you’ve ever hired me/ been in my home/ hell, even met me, you know that I will rip out a light fixture in a heartbeat. Your little Lowes contractor special doesn’t stand a chance. I am especially known for ripping out ceiling fans. Especially a fan with a light kit. And a pull chain. GONE. Because one the first things I consider in a rooms design is the main fixture. If your lighting is old or ugly or ugly and old, take it to Goodwill. Life is too short to have bad light fixtures or fans with pull chains and light kits. I believe in weird, wild, big, modern, traditional, vintage, painted, glass, plastic, expensive and cheap — but I do not believe in boring or ugly.
Right now I am obsessed with all the lighting that Lindsey Adelman has designed. And I do mean each and every fixture. Her modern vintage pieces work with almost any interior and could add the juxtaposition that we all crave. That perfect blend of styles. I mean, look. Look at this piece in this kitchen. Sick.
I currently have my eye on the branches collection. But really I like them all. I don’t think I can even choose my favorite. It would be so cool to do a whole house in these fixtures. From master bedroom to closets. Can’t you just see it? I can.
